Fourth Stop...Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

[a.k.a- Universal Studios :)]

So I have never read any of the Harry Potter books or seen any of the movies, and I must say that this little HP village was AMAZING.  The creativity and the little details to everything were fascinating. Even though I couldn't ride the "most amazing ride ever"(The Forbidden Journey), I had a wonderful time walking around and taking pictures!

We pushed our way through the crowds and finally made it!

Castle where the Forbidden Journey ride is.

This was my favorite- the candy store!  The colors were so cute and breath taking.

A chocolate frog!

This is one of my favorite pics!

Lots and lots of cotton candy!

The toy store.

Three Broomsticks- the restaurant.

The famous Butter Beer.  Yes, it is non-alcoholic.  It tastes like a more sugary cream soda!

Doesn't the snow look real?!

Oh, just the ceiling in one of the waiting areas.

Marty's favorite roller coaster of the entire trip!

Katherine and I pretended that we had just gotten off the ride.

They really did just get off the ride.

The Owl Post Office where I couldn't find any postcards.  Just TONS of broomsticks!

These were "flying".

P.S.- Happy St. Patty's Day!

Travel Tips:

- If you are among the rest of the travelers that go to Universal Studios, you are basically going just for Harry Potter! The park opens around 8:00AM, so be prepared to get there BEFORE 8:00 to stand in line at the gates.

- We were told that HP is less crowded in the evenings.

- If you go to HP at the beginning of the week, we were told it is VERY crowded.  So crowded in fact, that once you leave HP World they give you a ticket with a posted time for you to come back.  No re-entry until then!

- Three Broomsticks does not take reservations.  So if you want to eat there, stand in line right when you get there.  It starts serving the full menu at 10:00AM, but there will definitely be a long line to wait in then!

- HP World definitely got more crowded the later we were there, so be prepared to even stand in lines to get in to the stores!

- We arrived to HP early enough that we did not have to purchase the Express Passes that Universal sells. (An extra $25.99 on slow park times, but $60.00 when we were there!)

- Get in the single lines at The Forbidden Journey ride.  My family got in within 20 minutes, even though the regular wait was 60 minutes!

- As for the rest of Universal Adventure Land, if you don't ride roller coasters, this is not the park for you!

  1. Jonathan and I are SO envious that you got to go here! I think it says a lot that a non-HP fan enjoyed it so much. Are you going to read/watch it now?
